ABOUT PRESIDENCY COLLEGE(Autonomous)


Presidency Group of Institution was established in the year 1976. Close to four decades now the Institution under the hawk’s eye vision of its Chairman has been continuously working towards the growth approaching several branches and holding a proud position in the field of education.

Presidency College (Autonomous) was started in the year 2000. Affiliated to Bangalore University the college started with just two courses. Today 24 years down the lane with various courses and dynamic faculty. We are proud to announce that presidency college (Autonomous) is recognized as top ranked premier institute in the country. The College has been Re-accredited by NAAC with A+ Grade. As a top autonomous institution, the college has adopted excellent curriculum which is on par with the current trends. The institute integrates several practical skill-oriented components into the curriculum with the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS)and Continuous Assessment and Grading Pattern (CAGP)of education at its core. We at Presidency have made the choice to strive for excellence in all that we inculcate in our students to make them understand and imbibe honesty and competence and a will to break out of monotony to be creative so that they understand the power of imagination. Department of Computer Applications

Department of Computer Applications had its humble beginning, in the year 2000. It offers Undergraduate (BCA) and Postgraduate (MCA) programs. It has witnessed tremendous growth and now has over 1000 students. The department boasts state of the art infrastructure facility and a spacious library with a diverse collection of volumes for enriching knowledge which facilitate the perfect environment for learning.. Department of Humanities

The Department of Humanities at Presidency College is one of the most vibrant Departments. Our focus is on equipping students with conceptual knowledge, analytical and life skills coupled with communicative skills with a multi-dimensional approach. The objective is to facilitate the overall personality development of the students and prepare them to face real time challenges. The Department offers courses in Journalism, Psychology, and Political Science. The curriculum framework of all the courses is designed to meet the industry standards and is in congruence with NEP 2020.

About the seminar

One day National level Student seminar intended to discuss the role of technology in making a sustainable future along with special focus on applications, modelling and the current research. The seminar is open for students who are aspiring for a career in Computer Science, Media and Humanities are welcome to attend this event. This would provide a good platform for researchers, domain experts, government officials and other related personnel to deliberate on this pivotal crisis for deriving potential solutions

All the authors of the accepted papers are requested to register.

Objectives of the seminar

To foster an environment that imparts holistic education to ignite an inquisitive mind, inculcate the skills to achieve excellence, realize the nuances in research seek and deal with challenges and carve out a niche for self.

To expose the potential for leveraging technology to address challenges and create a smart Sustainable future.

To discuss and identify the scope of research areas based on the role of technology and media.

Call for papers

Authors are invited to submit their original and unpublished manuscripts related to the role of technology and media for a smart and sustainable future.

The submissions are not restricted to but can include the following sub themes:

Submission Details

We invite original, unpublished papers related to the themes (but not limited to).

The papers must strictly follow the IEEE format that includes Title of the Paper, Author names, affiliations, State, Country, email-id.

Kindly note that student ID should be uploaded during registration if paper is selected for the presentation and publication for the proceedings .

Submission guidelines

All submissions must follow the prescribed format and guidelines given below:

  • Papers should be submitted in MS-Word format as per the IEEE format.
  • All submitted seminar papers will be peer reviewed by the competent reviewers.
  • The assessment of the papers shall be made on the basis of their relevance to the theme of the conference and on the parameters like originality, clarity, completeness and contribution to the discipline.
  • The paper should not exceed 6-8 pages and abstract should not exceed 350 words.
  • Accepted papers will be notified based on the reviews and originality if any changes are requested it should be completed within stipulated time.
  • Authors of the selected papers will be intimated about registration through mail.

Registration details

  • Only two authors allowed per paper.
  • Student should be first author ( Compulsory) and should submit Student-ID card as proof during registration.
  • Second Author can be Student or faculty.
  • Plagiarism should be less than 10%.
  • All accepted and presented papers will be published in Conference proceedings with ISBN.
  • Only seleted papers based on review and originality will be published with ISBN and it will be indexed in Scopus with additional charges.
  • Certificates will be provided for all the registered authors for presentation and publications.
  • Best paper will be rewarded with cash prize.
  • Last date to register for all accepted papers is 5th March.
